Can’t log into your WordPress dashboard? This short tutorial shows you how to log into your WP site.
How Do I Log Into WordPress? – Quick Tutorial
As a new website administrator, things can sometimes get a little confusing.
If your website has been built using the WordPress CMS platform, then one of the first things you need to learn is how to access your WordPress admin panel, as all of your website’s administration tasks are controlled from this section.
Depending on the theme installed on your website, you may be able to log in directly from your home page.
Look for a link that says “WP-Dashboard” or “Login”. On some sites, your log in link can be found in the Meta section of your web site’s sidebar area …
If this link is visible on your theme, just click on it …
This brings up your WordPress login page. Enter your username and password, and then click on the Log In button to access your WordPress Dashboard …
Note: The WordPress “login” link can be hidden in many WordPress themes. If you cannot find this link on your site, then you will need to type your WordPress site login URL into your browser.
The default WordPress admin login URL normally should look like this:
- http://yourdomain.com/wp-login.php (if WordPress is installed in the root directory of your domain)
- http://yourdomain.com/subfolder/wp-login.php (if WordPress is installed in a subfolder of your domain, e.g. “blog”)
- You can also get to the login area using this URL: http://www.yourdomain.com/wp-admin
Note: If you cannot see the WordPress login form when you type one of the URLs above into your web browser, check that your WordPress installation address is correct.
If you’ve tried all of the above methods and the WordPress login area still does not show on your browser, then you may have an issue that needs to be looked further into.
